Xperia arc S runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and is fed by Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 1.4 GHz processor with Adreno 205 GPU. It is assumed to be 25% faster on the camera start up and media conversion time, and 20% faster on web browsing time as compared to its predecessor, Xperia arc. The device has 512 MB of RAM and a much larger 4.2-inch display. The phone has a maximum storage capacity of 32GB. Xperia arc S sports a fine 8.1MP camera with Sony’s award winning Exmor R™. Sony’s Exmor R™ is especially designed for mobile image sensor and high-definition video capability. Apart from this, the device is also equipped with auto-focus and LED flashlight. It is the first of its kind on the mobile market with the ability to take 3D panoramic images on a standard 2D camera.
